Scoot: the system behind mobility in Patras and Kos

Scoot is a mobility company based in Patras, offering shared vehicles, transfers and rentals. I am its technical manager, and I built and maintain the system that runs it.

What was needed

Scoot's operations did not fit into a simple website. It needed signed contracts, identity checks, payments with deposits and a daily view of the vehicles. Before, much of this was done on paper, over the phone and in Excel.

What was built

  1. A website with online bookings

Transfer booking in four steps, with payment, in Greek and English. Separate pages for each island, so they can be found on Google.

  2. Rentals in five steps

The driver uploads their documents and pays by card, and the deposit is released automatically on return.

  3. Contracts signed from a phone

Signed by the partner, the driver and the company, with an identity check before the driver signs and a full history.

  4. A portal for hotels

Hotels book transfers for their guests, and their commission is calculated automatically every month.

  5. Operations automation

Route checks every few minutes, notifications to the team and the drivers, updates to customers.

What it means for your business

The same building blocks, bookings, signatures, payments and notifications, work for clinics, technical firms and guesthouses. The workflow changes, and we design it together.
