Nikos, the person behind quasar
I studied Product and Systems Design Engineering for five years at the University of the Aegean. Today I’m technical manager at Scoot in Patras, where I built the company’s system for bookings, signatures and fleet management.
quasar grew out of that: the same work, for businesses that want their site and tools built properly, by one person who designs, builds and maintains them.
I take on a few projects at a time, so you always talk to the person who writes the code.
What happens if something happens to me
It’s the most sensible question to ask when you work with one person. The answer is in what I hand over to you from day one.
- Domain and hosting in your name, from day one.
- The code is handed over to you, and you can give it to anyone you like. For systems, the shared core comes with a perpetual licence, so you don’t need me to keep going.
- A written handover guide, written for the next developer.
- Accounts and passwords documented and in your hands.
How I work
An estimate on the first call
Cost and time in writing, before you commit to anything.
A prototype before the code
You see and comment on the design, so there are no surprises at launch.
Payment per stage
You pay as you see progress in a test environment.
A price that doesn’t change
What we agree at the start holds to the end. New ideas are discussed separately.
“I don’t start with the design. I start with how your business works: the site is one part of the system, not the system.”
